The name Yellow Mountain Media comes from Yellow Mountain Gap, just 20 miles from Johnson City. In 1870, the Overmountain Men crossed through that gap, beginning their march from Elizabethton to defeat the British at Kings Mountain in a surprise attack that turned the tide of the Revolution in the South. I've hiked that same ground myself, and there's something powerful about standing where that history happened. That connection to this place, its beauty, its story, its people, is exactly what Yellow Mountain Media is built on.
